The 30 Day June Anagram Challenge

Each day in June a new anagram will be displayed below. If you manage to answer a question correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get the question wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.
For those who do not know, an anagram is the result of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce other words, using all the original letters exactly once. For example the letters TEARG could be rearranged to make the word GREAT.
The competition started on 1st June 2018 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 30th June 2018, with the winner being announced here on 1st July 2018. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize.

Confused by todays anagram. I don’t normally google, but the only word I can come up with isn’t a real place? Is there an extra A by mistake in today’s anagram?

Member
DivitLad

no it’s correct

Member
DivitLad

just seems like that when you pronounce it

Member
Jane

Back to school I should go!!! Thanks Paul

One of my neighbours partially broke in the storm last week…
It’s now leaning against his house…
He should count himself lucky the whole thing didn’t go through it! T.x

Looking at the clue for today’s answer reminded me of science lessons in junior school where we were told everything was either Dead, Alive, or Never Alive. I didn’t the clue but thought that the addition of one of the above would help others. In today’s example the thing is alive.

You almost need to take a tent and a sleeping bag when you go to one of todays answer up North lol T.x

Member

And down South too!!

Member
Tracy

Still?
Wow I thought they had fixed down South and were now cancelling services and major delays up North instead lol.
It needs re-nationalising asap!! (Just my opinion) T.x

Nope, still pulling cancellations at the drop of a hat. Luckily I don’t get the train that often. Feel sorry for anyone who needs to commute on a regular basis. Bring back BRITISH Rail. My Dad worked for them and had no problems until it was privatised.

I’ve just been looking at the answers and wondered if they cooked number 9 as part of number 10, lol.

So I’m hoping todays anagram isn’t S_____R P__K because I went for the shop instead since there isn’t any spaces in the anagram 🤞😬
Good Luck Everybody T.x

Member

Ok, I give up – what/where is S______R P__K? Please put me out of my misery! Lol

Member
Jo

Ruskin, I’m glad I’m not the only one who has been trying to figure that out for the last two days!!

Member
Wendy

Me too 😁

Member
Tracy

Sorry to have kept you all in suspence! I tried to answer last night when my phone died and then went into automatic update mode grrr!
I really didn’t mean to set a conundrum lol.
The alternative possible answer was…
[drum roll please]…

STUEMER PARK

It’s on Petrie Island situated on the Ottawa River near Orleans in Canada.
Not an obvious answer I know but it is an actual place rather than an outlet or shop lol.
Good luck with this months competition 🙂 T.x
