November 2019 – Quiz – Win £10
Many of you will be familiar with the game show ‘Wheel of fortune’ where you have to guess a word or phrase where some of the letters are missing. That is the basis of this months challenge. Each day in November a different word or phrase will be displayed below. However, it will be missing several letters. You just need to work out what the full word should be and submit your answer. If you manage to guess the correct word/phrase correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get it wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.
The competition started on 1st November 2019 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 30th November 2019, with the winner being announced here on 1st December 2019. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If you don’t claim your prize by 11am on 2nd December you will unfortunately lose out. No late claims accepted.

It’s one of the easiest cakes to bake yourself – and, however good a shop-bought one might be, my experience is that they don’t compare to home-baked. (I’m old enough still to relish licking the mixing-bowl clean – even though the presence of raw egg is no longer considered as ‘safe’ as when I was a child.)

Better to give an answer – any answer – than to leave it … esp. if, like me, you don’t trust yourself to remember to check back first thing tomorrow morning (I won’t then be free to return to the website until lunchtime, which would be into a new day).
