June 2020 – Quiz – Win £10
This month we are having a quiz. Each day in June a different question will be displayed below. You just need to answer the question. If you manage to answer a question correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you manage to guess the answer correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get it wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.
The competition started on 1st June 2020 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 30th June 2020, with the winner being announced here on 1st July 2020. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If you don’t claim your prize by 11am on 2nd July you will unfortunately lose out. No late claims accepted.
does someone else win as Joe didn’t claim?
Well done Joe
Where is July competition?
Glad it’s not just me, I thought I’d got my dates wrong.
Just found it Wendy, it’s right above this comments section where it says ‘Leave a Reply’.
We all have to start somewhere in life even Madonna 🙂
If I worked there I’d never leave 😂
dang what’s the total price not just the vat, oh well 1pt anyway 🙂
One word answer suffice today?
I played safe and used his first name too.
Well I don’t many if any others? It’s like Shakespeare
Agreed. Had to think hard to remember his first name.
Felt that hot on Thursday
Thought todays was a trick question
Does Shakespeare not have a first name?
Hi Stuart. Yes, Shakespeare’s first name is William, however he is so well known he is normally referred to as just ‘Shakespeare’. Good Luck, Daniel
Today’s answer was a flashback to school dinners 🤢🤮
Glad you asked the gemstone for September, it’s the only one I know 🙂
Can’t believe you’ve allowed Orchid / Lily for that answer. The correct answer is Orchid
I’ve just had a Google to see if there was any reference to Lily and there isn’t
Apparently there is a Vanilla Lily in south Australia stateflora.sa.gov.au/about-us/latest-articles/vanilla-lily but they are bulbs, not pods so technically allowing both is wrong since it’s supposed to a vanilla pod.
Yes I agree, the answer is orchid.
nvm
Fridays question was still up Yesterday at about 4 pm
Hi Tracy. There was a delay in yesterday’s update, but it was updated around 12:30. If you are seeing an old question you need to try doing a full refresh of the web page as sometimes web browsers will show an old version of a web page. Thanks, Daniel.
Friday’s question still showing at 11.47
I come back in a few hours to see if it’s changed. Usually works 🙂
Hi Janice, We occasionally get this issue where there is a slight delay with the page being updated. This was updated shortly after. If you are still seeing the old question please try refreshing the page. Thanks, Daniel.
All OK now thanks Daniel.
I read that the Pangolin tail does count as a limb?
I fell into the trap with the pangolin question after counting the tail as a fifth limb :/
One day might win
How had I never come across pangolins before?! They’re absolutely lovely, I will go and look at more about them now – thank you for introducing me 😊
I don’t think many people have.
I watched a documentary on them. They are endangered and illegally caught for their scales, something to do with medicines. It was very sad, but a lady catches them and looks after them.
Also the biggest City in the World!
Well done Ian.
