May 2021 – Anagram Game – Win £10

Each day this month a new anagram will be displayed below. If you manage to answer a question correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get the question wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.

For those who do not know, an anagram is the result of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce other words, using all the original letters exactly once. For example the letters TEARG could be rearranged to make the word GREAT.

The competition started on 1st May 2021 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 31st May 2021, with the winner being announced here on 1st June 2021. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If you don’t claim your prize before 11am on 2nd June 2021 you will unfortunately lose out. No late claims accepted.

I’ve answered today but I don’t think it’s anything to do with weather

Member
hornetcarp

agree nothing to do with weather!!

Member
Heather10

I agree maybe the wrong clue?

Member
Hilde

More like natural disaster

Member
Wendy

We all got the correct answer though! 👍😄☀☔⚡☁

That’s what I thought! Google describes it as ‘An earthquake is what happens when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past one another’ along a fault line as far as I remember as happens in America. So, what that has to do with the weather beats me.

Hello! My answer on yesterday’s anagram game – eurovision song contest. May we know please who won? Thanks!

Member
Susan

Well it certainly wasn’t going to be us, was it!

Member
Hilde

Italy won.

Member
Mark

Thought the answer for 23 (sore eyes) was 2 words not 1.

Member
STEVEN

It is two words. Don’t be surprised!

Member
Aileen

Chambers dictionary has it hyphenated so you could treat it as one word at a pinch! Also, a few of the antihistamine treatments spell it as one word. Wonder if it’s an Americanism?

Member
Heather10

I have submitted as 2 words

Member
Wendy
