November 2022 – Quiz – Win £10
This month we are having a quiz. Each day in November a different question will be displayed below. You just need to answer the question. If you manage to answer a question correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you manage to guess the answer correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get it wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.
The competition started on 1st November 2022 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 30th November 2022, with the winner being announced here on 1st December 2022. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If you don’t claim your prize by 11am on 2nd December you will unfortunately lose out. No late claims accepted.
Congratulations Valérie!
Congratulations from me too Valerie. 🥂
Me three, hope she clams.
Me four, yes please claim 🤞😁
He’s actually a Sheriff!
Darn Tootin’ he is and he frequently has snakes in his boots.
But he’s a cowboy though
Isnt todays answer featured in “night at the museum two”
I really wanted to put today’s answer as ‘whatever its mum calls it’ 😉
🤣😂🤣👍
I knew today’s one from watching Dora the Explorer with my kids when they were younger 😂
What is a female elephant called? wanted to put Ellie. hee hee 🐘🐘
I thought about Nellie.
Everyone knows it’s Nellie the elephant
Google told me the MPC (Monetary Policy Committee) sets interest rates. I did think it was Bank of England but decided to double check.
I put the bank of England then checked and realised I was wrong. The MPC do.aybe Daniel can accept both answers
I instantly thought of the Bank Of England too (which I was pretty certain about) but then I also found that answer which I’d never heard of, so I put the MPC anyway.
Me too….. Hopefully both will be accepted. As it is the 9 members of the MPC that make the decision which is distributed through the Bank of England
Hi All. I can also accept this as a correct answer. I wasn’t looking for such a specific answer to be honest. The base rate is an interest rate set by the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee. Bank of England or MPC (or both) will be accepted! Good Luck, Daniel.
Great stuff, cause i also put mpc. Thank you Daniel 👍😁
I thought so but had to double check today’s answer….
Used two different calculators cos I thought the first must be broken – I would have thought the number of minutes in a week would be more than that…
I used a calculator as well, but then when I started to put the answer in it came up as a suggestion so I’ve obviously used it as an answer before, presumably to the same question on a previous quiz – I never really clear my cookies/history on my mobile browser so it always shows when I start typing an answer I’ve submitted before, and it’s funny how often that’s the case (sorry Daniel! 😜)
The first question this month that I have not had to confirm before submitting. I have been helping my son learn his elements.
Todays question – is it the name of character or the person who played him????
It clearly says the narrator….
Why state the film rather than the book unless they want the actor’s name?
I put both names in my answer, the narrator is the person telling the story, but in the film, it is the actor.
After reading the book, I wouldn’t even go near the film. I found it mind numbingly boring, but I’m one of those people who has to finish a book once it is started. For different reasons, I have never been able to watch ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’ The only book that has brought me to tears, I just can’t bring myself to put real faces to the characters!
I put Colourfulness……..I wonder if that will be accepted.
Today’s question was rather niche
Congrats Victor. Welcome to November folks 🙂
Congratulations to Victor. Hope he claims…..
I hope so too🤞
