Well done Kevin
Congratulations Kevin. Hope you claim!!!
Ditto. Well done Kevin.👏
Love today’s song, I knew it straight away, I am a big Fan. It is still playing in my head.
Love this song by today’s artist..it’s a classic
Only had to read the first six words and I as singing the whole song. As you say Heather ‘classic’.
Only the second one I’ve known this month without the help of Google 🤣
Same LOL I know Michael Jackson Billy Jean and this one. We are old LOL
Hilde, Speak for yourself lol I also knew this, and today’s without having to look them up but at 56 I still do not consider myself old lol, my body feels like it is 100 through.
I’m 53. I’m not old, but I mainly listen to 80’s songs which means you’re old in young people’s minds. My kids always roll their eyes when they see my iTunes playlist LOL The other day I saw a facebook article with the headline ‘elderly lady upset youngsters did not give up seat on bus’. The elderly lady was 55 y.o. hahahaha elderly sure.
No you are not old, you are the same age as one of my brothers. Me too with music I love the 60s 70s and 80s and some from the 90s Motown is my favouret. Thats funny about the 55 y.o., I must look older than I am as some people will get up for me, but not always, even with me suffering with early onset Osteo Arthritis, I dont expect someone to give up their seats.
I’ve had that too on the bus when men stand up for me to give me a seat (not youngsters) and I think these men are not much younger than me. But I do accept the seat as I just feel awkward standing up in a bus. Once when I picked up my youngest from school when she was 13 I overheard one of her friends say ‘is that your nan?’ Right..
Never heard of todays band
I haven’t either. I even asked my husband if he knew who they were, he had never heard of them, and he is a big music fan. I think it must be for the young.
Same. I only know a handful of this month’s answers. I don’t really listen to “modern” music 😉 😂
I knew the song but like most didn’t know the name of the artist
I know the song but not the artist
I only listen to music from 1950-1990. I think I stopped around 2011 for music. Anything new after that is alien to me. I don’t listen to music in general but on long walks or car rides I listen to old music, mostly 80’s.
I’m exactly the same, except I think my cut off was probably a bit earlier – it’s funny cos I was born in 1987, so pretty much all the music I listen to is from long before I was even alive!
Knew today’s straight away reminds me of going to Butlins with my kids. They play it all the time 🙂
i know the song (used as a walk on in darts) but no clue who it was by?!
This brings bittersweet memories… loved this song and bought the single, only to find out that day that a friend had died. She was only 16, RIP. The song always reminds me of her.
So sad, sorry for your loss Jackie, i get so upset hearing of young people passing, life just isnt fair sometimes
Sorry for your loss. I hope you have lots of happy Memories of your friend.
Seeing the one for the 22nd reminded me of when Rick-Rolling was an internet trend in the late 2000s/ early 2010s.
I love this month’s quiz because it’s something different. Almost all of the songs, I can sing to myself as soon as I read the lyrics. However, I’ve struggled sometimes to recall the singer/ artist so have had to look it up.
Well you can’t please everyone – I don’t like this month’s quiz at all – I’m not a music fan so don’t know any of the answers and I can’t be bothered to Google them. Roll on March and a new quiz.
i love it!
It’s not my cup of tea either Madeleine so don’t worry, you’re not the only one 😉 I do like a lot of music, but soppy love songs not so much lol…I’ve put in a question mark for all but one of the answers this month, so still get one entry anyway! Let’s console ourselves that February is at least the shortest month, so it’ll be over soon 😜
I never listen to music. All music is just noise to me. I don’t know how anyone can enjoy music. My husband and youngest daughter attend concerts all the time. I don’t understand this. Just noise. But to each their own. I don’t know any of these. I have to google all of them. Except Michael Jackson Billy Jean, knew that one, but stupidly put the name of the song rather than the artist. Oh well.
Rather amazed by all the downvotes for people whose posts are simply saying they prefer different quizzes! I suppose they’re using it just to indicate they disagree…seems a bit mean though, personally I’d rather save that option for people who post ten separate, increasingly hysterical posts on days the question is updated a bit late (just to pluck a purely hypothetical example from thin air, of course 🤣) – or perhaps those mad/silly people who post on the main draw complaining that they can’t claim when their birthdate has been dawn, only to get moody about it when it’s pointed… Read more »
Yes very strange!!
But being a common theme unfortunately
I love this month’s quiz as it brings back so many memories of the songs that are playing in my head when I read the lyrics.
Where was yesterday’s email reminder Daniel I missed out on Michael Jackson (Billie Jean) what chances of ever winning
my reminder email has not come for a couple of days, this happens occasionally, but I usually remember to play, but not always.
Bookmark the site so you are not reliant on emails.
It’s not Daniel’s job to remind you to play!
I agree It is up to us to remember to play, I usually depend on the email reminder, I usually go to the website before the reminder comes in anyway
The chances are good. I’ve won twice
Lucky you Mandy, well done. I am still waiting for my first win😢
Congratulations on your wins
first one i haven’t known……timeless?!?!
My youngest used to sing “Bite Me Baby one more time”
#misheardlyrics
Is this a a timeless love song? Use your ups or downs to choose!
Second one by same.artist
Ed Sheeran
You need to put the answer in the box under the lyrics not in the comments otherwise it won’t count
running out of ideas for song artists Daniel 🙂 or just going through your record collection 🙂
I think its his playlist for the month 😂😉
brilliant song and act for today (much missed Marie)
I love this song
Oops! Put the title of the song instead of the singer!
I could hear the song in my head as I read the lyrics to the 4th,5th,7th,8th,9th, and today’s song as I have those on CD, I also have the 1st but I forgot to check that day. The others I had to look up.
This was my wedding first dance song ❤️❤️❤️
Enjoying this month’s competition!
It amazes me how you can read the words on the screen an instantly “hear” the song playing in my head.
There are, however, many songs that would be much less welcome as earworms……
🙂
Potentially 2 answers again. There’s the one most famously credited with singing it first, but the writer has also sung it to acclaim.
In my opinion, the writer’s was the better version!
I hope both answers are accepted, I have put the original (and in my opinion, the best).
I also put the writer, and despite hearing the later version first, on hearing it, felt the original was the better version. You usually prefer the first one you hear, don’t you?
More than one answer for today’s question,.presume both acceptable, I’ve done the most recent
One of my all time favourite artists today’s answer
Yes, sad she died of cancer 🙁
Todays answer was in the charts for weeks and weeks, in the end i couldnt stand to listen to it anymore, dont mind it know though 😁
I didn’t have reminder yesterday or day before what’s the point in playing missing out days answers
Suggest you set your own reminder. But even if you miss a day, you still have all the other days’ entries so still in with a chance to be selected for the monthly prize!
Book mark it, each day at about 9pm i go thru my book marked competitions and enter them all that way
As other people have mentioned: set your own reminder and/or bookmark it. I have bookmarked my competition sites. You can also click on the reminder of any other day as I’m sure the link will still be the same.
I set all my competitions to their various times via the reminder app or you can also copy the links into your calender for the various times and then the ones that are not time specific for example not until the next day, add a later time during the day for example before bed to check on ones you might have missed.
Don’t further you can still check the compétions until 10.59 the following day then it will change, so you still have time the following morning as you getting ready to start your day. I have missed the occasional one but all the days you have entered are still included so you still have a chance like Aileen has suggested. Don’t give up hope.
I always check even when I don’t get the email, like others have said, bookmark the site.
Thanks all tracy, susan, hilde, wendy and Aileen for your suggestions I have bookmarked so won’t miss any.
I don’t really listen to music so I’m relying on Google this month 🤣. Got the second one wrong ☺️
This is a good competition
Google image search is redundant for this one lol
A little to try and extract the text or just copy and paste the text into Google search. It does help!. I often know the songs and the names of the singer or group is on tip of my tongue but it just won’t come to mind.
Good luck to everyone this month.
Well done Pamela
