March 2020 – Missing Letters Challenge – Win £10
Many of you will be familiar with the game show ‘Wheel of fortune’ where you have to guess a word or phrase where some of the letters are missing. That is the basis of this months challenge. Each day in March a different word or phrase will be displayed below. However, it will be missing several letters. You just need to work out what the full word should be and submit your answer. If you manage to guess the correct word/phrase correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get it wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.
The competition started on 1st March 2020 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 31st March 2020, with the winner being announced here on 1st April 2020. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If you don’t claim your prize before 11am on 2nd April 2020 you will unfortunately lose out. No late claims accepted.
Thanks all, it’s good to know there are still a lot of us around! Good luck everyone.
Linda
Well done. It’s nice to see a name I recognise winning!
Well done Linda on your win. ☺️👍
Congratulations on your win Linda.
Well done Linda. Congratulations on winning.
looks like the clock change has caught them out!!!
Think today’s answer was a previous answer this month also
Yes, It’s on the list of previous answers (I’m not saying where!)
oh yes hadn’t noticed that!
where about?
For me down here on the south coast. It has been like this for the past three days so we are sat in the garden making the most of it as the parks and beach are out of bounds.
Very appropriate
Too many letters today?
Hi Stuart, I’ve double checked and it is definitely correct, there are the correct amount of letters 🙂 Good Luck, Daniel.
I got there in the end
Hmm, then it would seem the phrase varies throughout the country – I’ve always heard it as “The same difference”, and I suspect Stuart has, too (and, presumably, others).
Yesterday’s clue still up – hope this doesn’t mean that Daniel is unwell.
Hi Janice. I’m OK. It was a technical issue – was sorted out a little while ago. Good Luck, Daniel.
Good to see you Daniel.
Today’s answer is not a lot of fun on your own!! Stay safe and well everyone, in these troubled times.
I just love today’s answer.
It’s always good to try and see the funny side of things. Makes you feel better.
I JUST LOVE TODAYS ANSWER. VERY FUNNY.
Very topical – well done !!!
Very humerous today Daniel!
You have to be able to smile where you can 🙂
the emoji face please
I first thought of Ant and Dec 😂
Two possible spellings for todays answer, hope both will be accepted – if not, I can be sure I chose the wrong one!
Hi Andrew. The American selling can be accepted as well as the UK English spelling. Good Luck, Daniel
people have stole said item from my local doctors surgery that you now have too ask to get it from behind the counter, chemist says out of face masks too, never seen a soul using one
We need it for work (I work in a Children’s Centre) and we’re having to wait as stocks are low.
very appropriate answer today!!!!
Not really. It just a reflection of the lack of hygiene of the general public. What have all these people being doing before
Love that u give It the right name, I hate the American ” MD ” trying not to give away the answer
Me too
I believe they’re actually two different things: Mothering Sunday was when servants were given the day off to return to their Mother Church (where they were originally baptised) for a special service, and would often visit their Mothers and other family. Mother’s Day is what we mostly know it now – the celebration of our Mothers, though this has grown to include Grandmothers and virtually any Woman seen as a Mother-Figure.
It can only be in the clue!
is it me…..or is the answer in the clue?!?!
Thinking the same thing. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Bit of a give away! 😁
cheers FBL for the answer , not that I’ve needed google yet anyway 🙂
hows about giving everyone a smiley face on the instant win 🙂
You’ve all been sucked in by the obvious 😂
It states above comp runs from 1st – 31st March, don’t know how some of you say ending 21st March.
I think it was originally mistyped as the 21st but later changed to 31st, very easily done! ☺️
It seems to have been the 1st question in the Anagram Competition that’s just finished. Don’t understand the finishing date given of 21st March for this new competition?
And me, Birmingham?
I was wondering the same!
Its last years answer 🙂
it’s the 1st today so how can there be a previous answer for March??
Just thinking the same thing
I was just posting the same thing when I noticed your post-confused!
There only seems to be 21 days in this March as well!
