This Month’s Winner Is…
Lynne
DOB: 01/05/1962
[Claimed]
Each day, a small section of a board game image will be revealed, testing your knowledge of classic and modern games. Your challenge is to identify the board game from the partial image.
Explore a wide variety of board games, from timeless family favourites to intricate strategy games. Whether it’s a well-known classic or a hidden gem, every day brings a new puzzle to solve.
If you correctly guess the board game we’re looking for, you will earn 2 entries into the prize draw. If your guess is incorrect, you’ll still receive 1 entry just for taking part. At the end of the month, all entries will be pooled together, and one lucky winner will be drawn at random.
The competition started on 1st March 2025 and runs until the end of the month. The final question will be posted on 31st March 2025, with the winner announced here on 1st April 2025. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If the prize is not claimed by 11am on 2nd April 2025, it will be forfeited, and no late claims will be accepted.

Congratulations Lynne, hope you claim 😁👍
I enjoyed march’s board game guessing. Only got 4 wrong, I struggled with a few but got most. Well done Lynne hope you claim your winnings. Good luck to all for april’s game. 👍
I’ve really enjoyed this month’s game, good luck to everyone!
It’s Hippos 🙂
I didn’t even know today’s was a board game.
Last day today, good luck everyone. 😁
great fun playing this as a kid, although used to descend into chaos pretty quickly!!! lol
I’m not proud of the fact I answered “Drafts” yesterday, at least I think I did. I was talking and not really paying attention, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. 🤣
Anyone else brave enough to admit it? Or am I the only thicko who wasn’t thinking.
I confess to being uncertain, as both spellings have alternative meanings, so I looked them both up!
I object to “Checkers”, on principle.
I put both names. I played Draughts as a child. I think the Checkers is the USA name for it.
I did the same!
Couldn’t agree more…I said I was mildly annoyed back when Noughts and Crosses gave the US term in brackets (or perhaps I’m supposed to call them parentheses now?! 🙄😏), just cos it seemed so unnecessary – but this is far worse, as it gives the American name FIRST, with the actual British name in brackets like an afterthought 😭
If it is any consolation, my first thoughts were the American terms because I was raised there but I gave the British answer even if I also had to look up how to spell draughts.
At least yesterday’s answer wasn’t Chutes and Ladders 🙄
Do I get any credit for not writing Shoots and Ladders? 🤪🤣
‘Call them parentheses now?’ No, don’t be silly, just call them non-binary and the wokey dokeys won’t complain 🤣
No sorry, I spelt it correctly, only because I love playing draughts 😁, played it since i was a child.
I think spelling only counts if the letters are there and you have to re-arrange them so you might be ok!
Well, apart from one uncertainty, whose answer was still correct, it looks like it’s just me!
If anyone wants me I will be in the corner wearing a cone hat with the big letter D on it… D for Draughts, I think. 😜 🤪
Never heard of nr. 23
I had KerPlunk when I was a child. My daughter had one when she was young and my son has one when he was young. All 3 had a different designs but I believe that the original was the best.
So do i ,i had one as a child and I loved it. It was a game you could play by yourself but better with 2 or more!
I loved it as a kid, pulling the straws out ever so slowly hoping all the marbles didnt drop, such a simple but fun game
I remember seeing this game when my youngest brother was a child but I have not played it.
I knew today’s game straight away as I used to play this as a child.
Wow that is such a bizarre coincidence – I just happened to come across our old [no. 20!] set literally 2 hours ago, while looking for something else entirely; hadn’t laid eyes on it for years till today, then I come on here and what doI see…?? Exact same box and all! 😮👽😂
My son used to love playing it when he was younger…I’ve kept it out in the hope that he’ll still feel the same, when he next comes back from Uni for a too-short-&-too-rare visit 😏 lol wish me luck! 🤞
I like clues that give most of the name in the image.
I have heard of today’s (20th) but never played it. Now that I have read the rules on Wikipedia I am wondering if it might be worth a try? Does anyone have any experience, good or bad?
Definitely a 👍 from me, Jackie – see my comment above! 🙂
Thanks Sally!
I hope your son is still interested in the game. It will probably do him good to run something mentally challenging, but different to study, through his brain for a while. Enjoy the game, both of you!
Thanks very much Jackie 😊 and I hope you get the chance to try it yourself one of these days!
Never heard of today’s.
Me either.
Nor me.
I’ve heard of it but never played it.
Neither have I
Did love a game of this when visiting relatives in Castle Douglas
I’ve never seen nr. 16 in my entire life.
It’s one of the most popular board games in the world, up there with Monopoly.
I played it as a child and young adult; it was fun. You have to solve the murderer’s identity from the clues given and which room and weapon were used.
I know Cluedo and played it but this seems to be an earlier version which I never knew existed.
Nr. 11 in Belgium (Flanders part) is just called OXO. (as in the stock cubes etc).
I put Noughts & Crosses for yesterday’s answer and as I pressed send Tic Tac Toe entered my head, argghh! I was glad today when it showed both answers were correct. Phew!
Tic Tac Toe is what American’s call it. So you were definitely correct in putting noughts and crosses.
Absolutely right, purplevamp – I was actually mildly annoyed that Noughts and Crosses wasn’t shown as the ONLY correct answer 🤣😏😉
Trivial pursuit
You’re not supposed to give it away
Hi Trev, under the picture there are boxes for you to put your email and answer to the puzzle, you will not get anything for posting it here, other than obvious anger from many members for spoiling the game.
Please do not post the answers anymore, you can discuss the previous days puzzle once the answer has been posted in the list.
Nr. 10 is called Doctor Shiver 😀 You won’t believe nr. 11 which I will tell later.
10th March answer is completely different for name in my country LOL wondering if there’s other members on here from abroad living in UK.
Going by your previous translations, I suspect it is something like “Doctor, please don’t make the patient scream!” 😀
Please Hilde, put us out of suspension – I can’t be the only one dying to know what it’s called in the Netherlands now!
