October 2024 – Culinary Conquest – Win £10

Welcome to Culinary Conquest, the ultimate test of your culinary anagram-solving skills! Every day, we present you with a tantalizing puzzle where the letters of a food item are scrambled. Your mission? Unscramble the letters to reveal the delicious answer, with the anagrams alternating between sweet and savoury temptations.

Simply type your guess into the text box below, and let the taste bud-teasing challenge begin. Will you conquer the daily anagram and uncover the culinary secrets hidden within?

If you manage to find the answer that we are looking for you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get it wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month, and one winner drawn at random.

The competition started on 1st October 2024 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 31st October 2024, with the winner being announced here on 1st November 2024. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If you don’t claim your prize by 11am on 2nd November 2024 you will unfortunately lose out. No late claims accepted.

adcrust is an anagram of creme caramel if you change some of the letters

Alison

You do have all the right letters if you go posh and call it crème brûlée, atlhugoh I’m a bit dsylixec, so waht do I konw.

Note: No offence intended, I do suffer from a mild case of dyslexia, when I told my dad he said “don’t worry darling, I’ll buy you a new pair of shoes”, he either suffers from ‘spoken word dyslexia’, or stupidly.

Today’s one was yesterdays? I’m confused. And the number 30 wasn’t yesterday’s.

tracy

Me, too. Yesterday’s picture was of nachos, and the anagram was the same. Today’s picture is for the 29th, but the anagram is new. I think the gremlins have been in the works again.

I am finding the ‘sweet’ ones much easier than the ‘savoury’.
What does that say about me?!

Catheloco is very versatile, it can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacking in-between… or is that just me. 😳

Regarding yesterday’s answer, Krispy Kreme’s might have all the toppings and maybe you like jam, but I think a proper British seaside doughnut is the best.

He said chocolate fudge cake and then asked if it was right. But it is his birthday today, so he is celebrating with a glass of wine or three, lol. I told him I had no idea what today’s was. After using Google I got the answer and told him what it was he asked how I figured it out he said I was cheating when I told him.

I think most of us know by now if the previous answer is still up, just put down the same answer. I don’t know why people keep asking the same question.. when will it update etc, etc.. it will get fixed. There is no need to keep asking repeatedly. If people dislike what I say that doesn’t bother me. Seems some people live on it, i don’t because i have a life to live.

You know it, most of us know it, but there’s new members daily who do not know it yet. They have the right to ask if they don’t know it. Yesterday I put the same as the day before as it had not changed yet. I could not wait a few hours to wait for the update as I had to work and can’t use phone at work and to be honest I only have 15 min break where I have to eat quickly and won’t use the time to use my phone. My favourite dessert today

Bernie

I had to use a anagran solver today. Here in the US I never heard of the #9 quiz dessert. Is it good and what’s it taste like?

Dawn
Member
Dawn

A bit like banana creme pie but slimier with toffee in it.

Alison
Member
Alison

As a Brit I assumed it was a US dessert, given the fact that they have a large range in this category and we often use it for savory, but no, apparently it was most likely invented in East Sussex, so yes, a British dessert.

You learn something new everyday.

So far I’ve got them all right, pretty straightforward, I wouldn’t say they’ve been difficult so far. I think a few on here look for reactions in their comments, you can tell with the way they word things. 🤔

I have got all the others straight away, this one took me a bit longer, I don’t mean to make you feel bad when I say it was only 10 seconds longer, but it has been the most difficult. 😊
